Data Sources and Coverage
PartNumberFinder turns large local BMW catalog exports into a curated web-serving dataset for part number lookup, fitment exploration, and diagram reference pages.
Current coverage
| Brand | BMW |
|---|---|
| Part numbers | 18,000+ normalized records |
| Diagrams | 49,000+ exploded diagram records |
| Fitment rows | 500,000+ part-to-diagram/model references |
| Primary fields | Part number, description, diagram, position number, quantity, notes, category, model context |
How the web dataset is prepared
The local source data is a large aggregate crawl output. Before publishing to the website database, it is filtered and reshaped into a compact query schema that removes crawler-only runtime data, duplicate rows, empty placeholders, and low-value navigation artifacts.
Why this matters for search and AI answers
Each published page is designed to state the entity clearly: the part number, what it is called, where it appears, and how it relates to BMW models and diagrams. This gives human visitors, search engines, and AI crawlers a stable factual reference.
